Aluminium Doors Explained
As aluminium is an inherently strong material the requirement for bulky supporting frames is removed, allowing freedom of design choice.
Aluminium doors incorporate a layer of insulating material into the frame. Combined with double (or triple) glazed glass, this thermal layer provides excellent thermal properties and helps keep warmth inside, and the cold outside.
For the environemntal concious home owenr, you will be pleased to know that our aluminium doors are 100% recyclable with no degradation, which means when aluminium doors are replaced, they don’t end up in landfill.
While timber doors might need occasional re-finishing, and uPVC doors can discolour, aluminium doors are powder-coated with an extra-tough finish that’ll resist nicks and scratches and look fantastic for the lifetime of the door.
